Our group delayed our trip to Waco to avoid driving through bad storms and potential tornadoes. We had an extra night in San Antonio eating great food and got a little rest to hit the road early for the few hours trip to Waco, which to be honest was a major draw to this trip! We’ve all watched HGTV and gotten the Gaines Fever.

We stopped by Clint and Kelly Harp’s store, which was super cute, small, and easy to move about. Easy access entry and a handicapped parking spot right in front of the door.

Breakfast at Magnolia Table. So good. There was quite a line to put names on a list, but there was a bench along the waiting area, and since it was cold and drizzling, we went into the store to look around. The store was small and would be difficult to access with a wheelchair or walker (or stroller), especially when busy.

The Magnolia Seed Company was tiny, and with the number of people and small room to move around, I did not even venture past the threshold of the door. I would not recommend this spot for those with most mobility devices (except a cane) or strollers.

Magnolia Press was a delightful spot for a break to eat treats from the Magnolia Bakery. The bakery line stretched along its building and was not ideal for those with standing issues. There were also a few steps into the building, and it was a small space inside. I would not recommend going into the bakery with wheelchair, scooter, or stroller. The Press though was very spacious and had a great set-up to accommodate many mobility needs. There was a nice ramp outside and inside, space between tables, options for booths, high bar, or tables with movable chairs.

One of our last stops in Waco was at the outlet store. There is an area to the left of this building for outside shopping that was easy to maneuver, though was more walking than I needed at this point of the day, and the inside was pretty easy to get around. I honestly could not walk much more and headed back to the car to find a bench or something else to lean on until my friends were ready to go.

Waco was a fun day trip, and I was pleased at how accommodating most of the stops were. Thanks, Gaineses!
